  1. This disk (ZIPFILE) contains one or more utility programs to assist the ACARS
  2. enthousiast with the decoding of ACARS messages (Log Files), which have been
  3. saved with Lowe Airmaster ver 2.00 ACARS recieving program.

  14. 1.    Version 1.10 sorts the Acars messages on Registration numbers (Callsign)
  15.     and saves each heard aircraft in a seperate file i.e. Aircraft reg : 
  16.     .PA0DAL,  .G-DOCE. will be saved as -PA0DAL and -G-DOCE.

  18. 2.    Message label: B6, this will be decoded as = Provide ADS report (PAR)
  19.     if the message label is unknown to the program, than it will be not be
  20.     decoded and no message will be generated (since the test message QO
  21.     never contains any text therefore it will not be saved).

  23. 3.    Flight id : This will be decoded as the Carrier name and country of 
  24.     origin 
  25.  
  26. 4.    Only those messages which contain text or only even one printable 
  27.     character will be saved in the diectory c:\acars\log\data\ the filename
  28.     will be the same as the Registration number (callsign) of the aircraft
  29.     such as -PH-DAL, -G-KEES etc etc.
  30.     At this time I have made no provisions as to edit the files from within 
  31.     the program. So for the time being the user must supply and use his/her
  32.     editor, I find the Ascii editor on the Norton Commander very suitable to
  33.     edit the messages.

  35. 5.      The decoded files will not be sorted, also the  program does
  36.     not test for existing message numbers therefore you will see the same 
  37.     message in a certain file more than once (this will be fixed in 
  38.     ver 1.20).
